KATHMANDU, Aug 14: As many as 594 new cases and four more COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
At a virtual media briefing on Friday afternoon, spokesperson for the MoHP Jageshwar Gautam said that 594 new cases of COVID-19 were detected during 11,575 PCR tests conducted at 39 laboratories across the country in the past 24 hours.
"With this, the country's COVID-19 count has reached 25, 551," he said.

Gautam said that 240 persons who earlier tested positive for COVID-19 were recovered in the past 24 hours.
"With this, 17,077 persons have been discharged after recovery as of today," the spokesperson said.
According to him, 99 persons succumbed to the novel coronavirus disease across the country as of today. "Of them, 77 are males and 22 are females," Gautam added.
