Philippines beat Nepal 4-1

KATHMANDU, March 28: Nepal suffered 4-1 defeat with the Philippines in the first away match of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers at Rizal Memorial Stadium, Manila on Tuesday evening.


Nepal's Bikram Lama was sent off in the 15th minute of the first half. Nepali goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong saved a penalty in the 15th minute but Captain Philip Younghusband scored in the 22nd and 25th minutes against the 10-men Nepal. Iain Ramsay scored third in the 28th minute.

Bishal Rai reduced the margin in the injury time of the first half. Javier Patino scored the fourth for the Philipines in the 72nd minute.
