KATHMANDU, Nov 29: Nepal national cricket team ‘A’ won the preparation T-20 match for the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) against the Maldives.
It defeated Maldives by 19 runs. Nepal set the target of 151 runs, however, Maldives could only score 101 runs for the loss of six wickets.

Nepal started batting after losing the toss. Nepal scored 150 runs while losing seven wickets. Opener Rit Gautam scored 25 runs off 29 balls. The other opener Subash Khakurel hit 20 runs off 14 balls. Amit Shrestha contributed 29 runs off 19 balls. Dilip Nath scored 18 runs.
Nepali women ‘A’ team wins
Nepal women's cricket team ‘A’ defeated the Maldives by six wickets in a practice match for the 13th South Asian Games (SAG). Nepal, following a modest target of 87 runs, finished with four wickets in 11.1 overs.
Kavita Joshi added 23 runs for Nepal including three fours in 25 balls. Binda Katwal was unbeaten on eight runs, while opener Revati Dhami was dismissed for two runs in the last ball of the second over.
The Maldives won the toss and batted first at the Mulpani Cricket Ground. In the allotted 20 overs, the Maldives scored a total of 83 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Maldives’ Hasifsa scored 26 runs off 32 balls. Its opener Sumaiya was dismissed by Kavita Joshi.
