KATHMANDU, Sept 1: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Thursday fell marginally by 1.08 points to close at 1,972.29 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,973.38 points and fell to the day’s low at 1,953.61 points. However, the index went as high as 1,982.34 points in the last few minutes of the trading hour, before shedding around 10 points to close for the day.

The daily turnover amount stood at Rs 1.38 billion, which was slightly bigger than Rs 1.12 billion on Wednesday. Seven of the 13 trading groups gained in their average share prices.
Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited had the largest daily transaction amount of Rs 122.70 million. Rapti Hydro and General Construction Limited lost the highest percent in its share price, whereas Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited was the top gainer.
