KATHMANDU, Dec 6: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Tuesday declined slightly by 4.87 points to close at 1,933.88 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,938.76 points and dropped to the day’s low at 1,922.3 points. In a series of fluctuations during the trading hours, the market surged as high as 1,943.64 points before losing around 10 points to close for the day.

The daily turnover amount slid to Rs 965.21 million from Rs 1.67 billion on Monday. In the intraday trading, a total of 109 companies lost in their market value while 78 companies gained on their share prices.
The sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chips companies also went down 1.56 points. Out of the 13 sub-groups, three including microfinance, others and life insurance were the gainers while the rest of 10 trading groups lost in their shares prices.
In individual companies, Shivam Cements had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 81.23 million. NMB Bank Limited was the top loser while Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited gained the highest percent of its market value.
