KATHMANDU, Dec 15: The domestic stock market that had been on a continuous bearish run in earlier days surged by two digits on the second last day of the week, today.
According to the Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (Nepse), the sole authorized agency for selling and purchasing shares, the stock market today surged by 13.98 points today.
Nepse index soars by 16 points
A total of 668,925 units of shares of 138 companies worth Rs 4.93 million were sold and purchased in the today's stock market. The sensitive index to be used in measuring share of 'A' class companies went up by 2.85 per cent.
However, the share value of production companies decreased by 0.29 percent. As per Nepse, the share prices of banks has increased by 0.93, hotel groups by 1.82, development banks by 1.92, hydroelectricity by 0.47, finance by 0.9 and the insurance companies by 1.28 percent. RSS
