KATHMANDU, Sept 6: An election of the Nepal Medical Association (for the Kathmandu Valley) is taking place today.
The election will chose a new leadership for the Association which will have the tenure of next three years. The election that is to be conducted in two rounds (for the Valley and outside valley) will run until September 10.

The voting is taking place in the premises of Association in Bagbazar, according to Chief Election Officer Dhan Bahadur Rana Magar. The election for outside the Valley was already held.
A total of 27 candidates including one independent from two panels are vying for the 13 posts, he said.
The voting is scheduled to kick-start from 11:00 am. It will run until 16:00 pm. The number of voters is 5,305. RSS
