KATHMANDU, May 7: Senior leader of the main opposition CPN-UML, Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that there has been crossing the line in both registration of the impeachment motion against CJ and the interim order by the Supreme Court.
While speaking with the media persons outside the Legislature-Parliament, leader Nepal said that while giving the verdict the SC has left some space adding that the judiciary has not directly intervene in the case.
YAN welcomes impeachment motion
Claiming that the there is no strong base for the impeachment motion against CJ, former Prime Minister Nepal said that it was unfair to lodge the impeachment motion on the basis of the verdict given by the CJ.
Arguing that the ruling coalition should not had registered the impeachment motion against the CJ; leader Nepal said that the recent incident has opened the debate over the role and limitation of the executive body and judiciary in the country.
