No-confidence motion matures in one week

KATHMANDU, July 13: It will take, as per parliamentary regulations, at least one week for the motion of no confidence filed today by CPN (Maoist Center) against the incumbent government to get matured, said the Legislature-Parliament Secretariat.

KATHMANDU, July 13: It will take, as per parliamentary regulations, at least one week for the motion of no confidence filed today by CPN (Maoist Center) against the incumbent government to get matured, said the Legislature-Parliament Secretariat.




Secretariat Secretary- General Manohar Prasad Bhattarai said that the Speaker could take the proposal to the House for discussion under her discretion within one week by exercising Rule-160 of the Parliament Regulations.

In case the Speaker suspended the rule, a parliamentary discussion could be started on the matter before a week, he said.




However, today's House meeting does not include the proposal to discuss.




The process to form new government would start after the Parliament approves the proposal. RSS
