Kathmandu, July 26: The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has directed all the Ministries not to sanction leave and deputation to any district-level civil servants working in emergency response to disaster across various districts.
The direction will remain effective for the time being, and can only be relaxed with permission of the Secretary of concerned ministries or bodies.
According to a press release Tuesday, the OPMCM had made the provision as additional support and coordination of the employees would be essential in search, rescue and relief measures in wake of the disaster including floods and landslides taking place in almost all of the districts of the country.
