KATHMANDU, Dec 13: CPN (UML) Chair KP Sharma Oli has extended best wishes to all sisters and brothers belonging to the Jyapu Community on the occasion of the 13th Jyapu Day today.
"Nepal carries a distinct identity in the world due to its cultural and natural diversities," he states in the message of best wishes.
The Newar community of the Kathmandu Valley celebrates the Jyapu Day on the day of their cultural festival Yomari Punhi. The Newari culture which is basically the Jyapu Culture and is considered as the representation of the entire Nepali culture, he said in the message.
The Kathmandu Valley is full of cultural diversities and its culture mainly of the Newari is our original culture. Our culture, festivals and customs should be protected and promoted, the former Prime Minister said. RSS
