KATHMANDU, Aug 15: Police on Saturday morning arrested an individual for his alleged involvement in stabbing a youth to death at Gorkhali Khaja Ghar, a local eatery in Tokha Municipality-9, Kathmandu.
Last night, a clash erupted between two groups of youths at the eatery, resulting in the death of Laxman Rimal Tamang, a permanent resident of Tarkeshwar Rural Municipality-6, Nuwakot.
Three arrested on charge of stabbing a youth to death in Tokha
A team of police from the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Range Office and the Metropolitan Police Crime Division arrested Dorje Sherpa, a permanent resident of Gaurishankar Rural Municipality-3 in Dolkha from Machhapokhari area in Kathmandu Metropolis-16.
According to police, Sherpa was nabbed from room 101 of Nagarjun Guest House in Machhapokhari where he was hiding after the incident.
According to police, 24-year-old Dorje Sherpa stabbed Tamang at the eatery in Tokha at around 8:40 in the evening.
Tamang, who was seriously injured in the incident, breathed his last at 11:20 pm on Friday while undergoing treatment at Green City Hospital.
