KATHMANDU, Sept 9: A total of 71 aspiring models are gearing up for Republica My City Presents En Vogue Fashion Show at Club Déjà Vu, Durbar Marg.
Every day, as many as 29 males and 42 females, between the ages of 16 and 28 years, are undergoing training with the House of Fashion (HOF). Under the guidance of trainer Puran Joshi, they are learning ramp walk and personality development. Joshi is also looking after their styling and choreography for the event.

The training stretches for 40 days and includes different personality development workshops as well as confidence building counseling sessions, informed HOF Event Director Sanjeeb Tuladhar. Apart from group counseling, they also receive one-on-one counseling sessions with the mentors. Every Friday the participants are required to give a presentation on selected issues in groups so as to boost their confidence, added Tuladhar.
Similarly, they are being counseled in hair and make-up by Shraddha Maskey, physical fitness by Sushant Pradhan, leadership qualities by Abdus Miya and in photography by Sanjog Rai.
Model Srijana Regmi is also scheduled to share her experience about the fashion industry with the participants while past HOF winners and participants—Rubeena Thapa, Priyanka Ranijoshi, Deepika KC, Lomash Dhamala and Sushant Nepal—have been invited to share their experiences.
The trainees were selected by a panel of judges after an audition round that was held at Ai-La Restaurant and Lounge, in Kumaripati on August 13.
On September 23, the HOF will organize an unmasking event, where the selected contestants will face the world, show what they have learned so far and work on their flaws thereafter.
The three-month long event will end in October 27 with a grand En Vogue fashion show. Winner of the contest will get a year-long contract as the brand ambassador for HOF, informed Tuladhar.
