KATHMANDU, Mar 15: Ousted Chief Justice Gopal Prasad Parajuli has resigned from his post on Thursday.
According to the press statement released by the Presidential office, Parajuli met President Bidhya Devi Bhandari and submitted his resignation. Parajuli had reached Sheetal Niwas today.

Secretary of Judicial Council Nripdhowj Niraula has written to Chief Justice Parajuli stating that he retired from his post stating the investigation into documents showed he had attained the retirement age of 65 years seven months ago on August 5, 2017, as per his citizenship certificate, academic qualifications and sheet-roll details.
