PALPA, June 2: The Palpa-Butwal section of the Siddhartha highway has been closed.
The road section will remain closed from 10 am to 4 pm for repair works, the Roads Division Office, Palpa said.

Information officer at the Office, Pabitra Mani Acharya said they are repairing the road section to clear the mudslide debris that has been deposited on the road following frequent landslide at Siddhababa.
The occurrence of mudslide at Siddhababa from time to time even due to normal rain has caused problem in the operation of the road.
Hundreds of vehicles en route to Butwal from Palpa and to Palpa, Gulmi, Arghakhanchi, Parbat,Pokhara, Syangja from Butwal are stranded due to this.
The Siddhartha highway is the trunk highway connecting various places in the north and south of Province 5. People of 12 districts in the province have been affected due to the halt in transport. RSS
