Party consent needed to forward amendment bill: RPP Chair Thapa

BHIMDUTTANAGAR, Jan 2: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) central chairman Kamal Thapa has said that if the constitution amendment bill was forwarded in its existing form then it would be counterproductive. 



In a press meet organized by the Media Nepal, Kanchanpur chapter here today, leader Thapa urged major political party leaders to move ahead forging consensus on major agendas. 



He added that his party will not support the constitution amendment in its current form. The RPP Chair however stated the genuine demands of Tarai- centric parties should be addressed. 



In another context, he opined for holding three tiers of elections. Leader Thapa further opined for resuming the house business soon. 



Similarly, speaking in the same program, party national chairman Pashupati Shamsher Rana said that the government should concentrate on local polls to implement the constitution.



He urged the main opposition CPN (UML) to support the local election. 



Party senior leader Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani also opined for resuming the Parliament business. 



RPP leaders said that major party leaders haphazardly declared the secularism in the country which was causing problem in the country therefore such problems should be finalized by the public opinion. RSS
