PM Dahal directs for immediate rescue of the injured, mobilization of helicopter

KATHMANDU, Aug 15: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has directed the Home Ministry to carry out immediate rescue of those injured in the bus accident at Birtadeurali in Kavre today.

KATHMANDU, Aug 15: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has directed the Home Ministry to carry out immediate rescue of those injured in the bus accident at Birtadeurali in Kavre today.



According to PM Dahal's Press Advisor, Govinda Acharya, Prime Minister Dahal also directed the Home Ministry to send a helicopter immediately for the rescue operation.



"The Prime Minister extended sorrow over the incident soon after getting information about it and issued directive to carry out rescue operation using helicopter," said Advisor Acharya quoting the PM.



The Home Ministry has sent the helicopter to the incident site for the same soon after PM Dahal's direction.



Section Officer at the Peace Security and Crime Control Division of the Home Ministry, Chiranjivi Nepal, said that a chopper (MI 17) of the Nepal Army has reached the incident site.



Stating that they have got the information that 25 people were killed in the incident so far and 35 were injured, Nepal said that an ambulance has also been kept in ready position at the Tribhuvan International Airport.



The local administration has been urged to bring the injured to the place where the helicopter can land, he added. RSS
