KATHMANDU, Sept 14: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday held a discussion with the leaders from United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) and Federal Alliance (FA).

During the meeting held at the prime minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, the Madhesi leaders raised the issue of constitution amendment to address their demands.

“We urge the Prime Minister to amend the constitution at the soonest,” Co-chairman of Sadhbhawana Party, Laxmanlal Karna told Republica Online, “PM Dahal was positive on that.”

PM Dahal had been claiming the government will register a constitution amendment proposal at the Legislature-Parliament before he leaves for India.

PM Dahal is embarking on a four-day visit tomorrow.  And it is unlikely that the proposal will be filed before that.
