KATHMANDU, Aug 3: Prime Minister-elect CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has been scheduled to take oath of office and secrecy at 3 pm on Thursday.
The Office of the President has been already informed on the oath taking ceremony scheduled for Thursday. Dahal will lay wreaths at the memorials located in different areas of the capital before the oath taking ceremony.

Meanwhile, Speaker Onsari Gharti visited President Bidya Devi Bhandari at Sheetal Niwas and apprised her of the results of the Prime Minister’s election.
Dahal was elected as the 39th Prime Minister of the country, securing 363 out of 573 votes. It is Dahal’s second innings as the PM.
He is backed by 16 political parties including the single largest party in Parliament, the Nepali Congress (NC), and an independent lawmaker.
The CPN-UML, Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal and Nepal Workers and Peasants Party lawmakers (210) voted against Dahal.
