PM Oli urges students to be associated with Scouts

NUWAKOT, May 31: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged students to be associated with scouts as it would prepare a disciplined youth troupe for the country along with capacity building and promotion of personal skill.

NUWAKOT, May 31: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged students to be associated with scouts as it would prepare a disciplined youth troupe for the country along with capacity building and promotion of personal skill. 


Inaugurating the third jamboree of the Nepal Scouts today, Prime Minister Oli, who is also the patron of Nepal Scouts, said that the government has wanted to move ahead collaborating with social organizations like Scouts for economic development and social transformation, recalling own contribution in social service being as the member of the scouts.

The jamboree had started from Kakani of Kakani rural municipality-5 on Wednesday. 

On the occasion, Minister for Youth and Sports Jagat Bahadur Bishwokarma expressed commitment that the Ministry would ready to provide necessary support to run the jamboree. 


The Jamboree has been taken as national proud dedicated to achieving country's economic prosperity and social transformation through youth target programmes, said the Nepal Scout Ad-hoc Committee coordinator Chandan Kaushik. The gathering will conclude on Monday. Scout's first and second jamboree was held in Kirtipur and Chitwan respectively. 

Established in 2009, more than 5,000 youths are associated with having its branches in more than 50 districts. RSS
