GAUSHALA, Jan 25: Police on Tuesday made public five persons including the wife of a murdered person for involvement in the murder case.
The police paraded the five in accusation of murdering Anjani Kumar Mishra of Sangrampur of Hatisarwa – 8, Mahottari. They include Mishra's wife Jyoti Mishra, 22, Firoj Kawari, 31, of Dharmapur – 6, Tufan Ansari, 37, of Dhamaura – 1, Gangaram Das, 44, of Bagada – 7 and Kuber Raut, 29, of Mahottari VDC – 7.
A special team of police arrested the accused from their houses with support of the local villagers. They were made public 10 days after the murder.
Jyoti is the youngest wife of the murdered person while Kuber is uncle – in – law. Police investigation showed that Firoj and Tufan were known hit men affiliated to armed outfit, Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha – Jawla Group and notorious for kidnapping, robbery and extortion including murder, said Inspector Rabindra Khanal, of District Police Office, Mahottari.
The preliminary investigation has pointed to illicit sexual relationship and property as being the factors leading to the murder. Mishra had returned home only three months ago after working abroad. He was hacked to death at 8 pm on January 13, police said. RSS
