President Bhandari extends Sonam Lhosar wishes

KATHMANDU, Jan 28: President Bidya Devi Bhandari extended best wishes to Tamang sisters and brothers at home and abroad on the occasion of the Sonam Lhosar today.

KATHMANDU, Jan 28: President Bidya Devi Bhandari extended best wishes to Tamang sisters and brothers at home and abroad on the occasion of the Sonam Lhosar today. 


In a message of best wishes today, President Bhandari also wished the people from the Tamang community peace, happiness, prosperity, good health, fraternity and progress.

Bhandari wished that the festival, observed especially in the Tamang community with great fervor as a New Year, helped further promote fraternity, mutual intimacy and goodwill. 


"It is our responsibility to make headway for the journey towards prosperity by preserving and promoting such cultural festivities," reads the press statement issued by the Office of the President. 


Stating that the Tamang cultures are rich and unique, the Head of the State also expressed her hope that such festival would help foster religious and cultural beliefs as well as communal amity. RSS
