KATHMANDU, Aug 25: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has extended her best wishes to all Nepali sisters and brothers in the country and abroad for their peace, happiness, prosperity, internal unity and good will on the occasion of Shree Krishna Janmastami and Gaura Festival, today.


Underscoring the importance of the festival in maintaining unity in diversity, religious tolerance, harmony and integrating the country, the President in her greetings message said, "Language, religion, art, culture and traditions are the indicators of the civilization and wealth of any nation".

Likewise, the President in her greetings message on the occasion of Gaura festival noted the historical and mythological importance of the festival mainly in the far-western and mid-western regions of the country.


The week-long celebration of the festival marked every year may contribute to enrich the sense of tolerance, social unity and mutual good will among entire Nepali people, reads the greetings message. RSS
