Prez Office shuts doors for private media photo journalists

KATHMANDU, Jan 19: Photo journalists from private media outlets were barred to enter the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas and capture the swearing in ceremony of provincial chiefs. President Bidya Devi Bhandari had administered oath of office and secrecy to seven newly-appointed province governors earlier today.

Only photo journalists and video journalists of state owned media outlets, the Rastriya Samachar Samiti, Nepal Television were allowed inside the Office of the President with their cameras.


Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Chief Justice Gopal Prasad Parajuli, chief secretary Lok Darshan Regmi and other distinguised personalities, including chiefs of security forces were present in the swearing-in ceremony.
