DHANKUTA, Jan 22: The local administration has lifted the prohibitory order in the district temporarily from Monday. The decision will come to effect from 3 pm Monday till 7 pm Tuesday.
According to the Chief District Officer Prem Prakash Uprety, the security situation in the district has improved for which the administration has made the decision.
Prohibitory order withdrawn in Taulihawa
Following the decision of the government to name Biratnagar as the temporary capital of Province 1, the locals and cadres of various parties started protesting against the government decision. To control the situation in the district, the local administration imposed the curfew on January 18 and issued the prohibitory order from January 19.
Following the decision, the local administration has called various political parties, local entrepreneurs and members of civil society for the meeting.
Though the prohibitory order has been lifted, the strike in the district has entered in 38 days.
