Revolving fund for needy patients gets about Rs 1.3 million

BABIYACHAUR, MYAGDI, Oct 19: The Myagdi Relief Committee, Bahrain has contributed Rs 1.93 million to the Om Kumari Shanti Fund, set up with the objective of supporting the underprivileged patients in Myagdi district.

BABIYACHAUR, MYAGDI, Oct 19: The Myagdi Relief Committee, Bahrain has contributed Rs 1.93 million to the Om Kumari Shanti Fund, set up with the objective of supporting the underprivileged patients in Myagdi district. 


Lal Prasad Pun, Patron of the Myagdi Overseas Nepalis Association (MONA), Bahrain, handed over the amount to Rajesh Shakya, Fund chairman at a programme organized in Beni on Wednesday.

So far 700 people have become the life-member of the Fund contributing over Rs 5,000, while 18 people have become the patron members by contributing Rs 200 thousand to the fund. 


MONA Qatar and Myagdi Relief Committee, Bahrain are the institutional patrons of the Fund each contributing more than Rs 300 thousand. 


Forty-five needy patients suffering from complicated diseases have benefited from the Fund so far.
