KATHMANDU, June 19: Rohto Mentholatum, a Japanese company which produces pharmaceutical and varieties of medicated cosmetics and skin care products, organized a free eye check up camp at Asan, Jamal and Kamalakshi on Saturday.

The event was organized under the supervision of Dr Sabina Shrestha of Nepal Eye Hospital, Tripureshwar, the company said in a statement, adding that more than 1,000 people got their eyes examined and received free medicines.
According to the statement, more than 80 percent of the eye examinees were diagnosed with various problems and referred to the hospitals. The event was organized in coordination with Professional Support Service Nepal and Ason Kamalachchi Tole Sudhar Community.
