The August 18 meeting will discuss the probability of unification with various 'nationalist' political forces close to the party in terms of ideology and a role that party supposed to play to see a success in the provincial and central elections, Pathak added

Possibility of party's role in lending a hand in humanitarian assistance and rescue works during natural disaster(s), review of contemporary political situation in the country and evaluation of the local level election are the agenda of discussions of the meeting.

Though there is a provision for a total 166 central members in the party, a faction headed by Pashupati Shamser JB Rana on August 6 after nine months of unification, collecting signatures of over 40 per cent party leaders including lawmakers and central members, reached the Election Commission to apply for the registration of a separate party Rastriya Prajatantra Party (Democratic).
