KATHMANDU, Nov 7: The ruling Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has expressed its plafor restoration of constitutional monarchy and directly elected Prime Minister.
RPP prioritize the Nepal as Hindu nation and unitary state with constitutional monarchy as its long-term tactical line.
Unveiling the party’s election manifesto on Tuesday, Chairman of the party Kamal Thapa said his party has accepted nationality as the overall goal and democracy as the soul and thereby establish itself with a unique identity and clear ideology in national politics.
RPP puts on hold monarchy restoration demand
The party’s election manifesto will also prioritize economic liberalism with the policy of making the production and the distribution system accessible to all the people in a just manner.
RPP also promise to provide special protection to the backward areas and marginalized classes and for the respect of individual freedom and right to property.
The party spokesperson Bhuwan Pathak shared that the party's election manifesto that promises to mark Paush 27 (birth day of Prithi Narayan Shah) as the national unification day.
The manifesto further states to develop a democratic system that fits with national originality. Similarly, the manifesto has promised to run Kathmandu-Tarai fast track and Mechi-Kali bullet train.
The party has picked up five candidates to the election of House of Representatives and 20 for the State Assemblies by forging an election tie-up with the democratic alliance.
