KATHMANDU, June 15: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has convened a meeting of leaders from ruling coalition as well as disgruntled Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN). The meeting is underway at PM's Office, Singha Durbar.

With a day remaining before the date for filing candidacy nominations for the second phase of local level elections, the major political parties are holding talks with the RJPN despite several efforts failed in last couple of days.

Top leaders, including the ruling and opposition, had talked to the RJPN on bringing the disgruntled force on board the election scheduled for June 28.

Party leaders yesterday had said that they couldn't reach any conclusion as the RJPN insisted on constitutional amendment ahead of the election.
