Samrakshak, Mahika get ITF grants

KATHMANDU, July 13: Nepali lawn tennis player Samrakshak Bhusan Bajrachary and Mahika Rana have received $ 1000 each as travel grants from International Tennis Federation's grand slam development fund.

KATHMANDU, July 13:  Nepali lawn tennis player Samrakshak Bhusan Bajrachary and Mahika Rana have received $ 1000 each as travel grants from International Tennis Federation's grand slam development fund.



The duo was handed over checks by Jyoti Rana and Keshav Raj Pandey, the president and vice president of All Nepal Lawn Tennis Association respectively.



The duo will be required to play at least three international tournaments from the grants. However, they have already competed in two international tournaments and will compete in the ITF U-18 World Ranking Championship as the third event in Singapore.



They will be leaving for Singapore on Wednesday. Mayanka Rana will also compete in Singapore competition to be held from July 16 to 23.
