KATHMANDU, Nov 11: The Supreme Court (SC) has given continuity to its interim order not to immediately implement the directive of the Election Commission (EC) to take action against the groups/individuals associated with the 'No, Not Again' campaign under the cyber law.

A division bench of justices Sapana Pradhan Malla and Sushma Lata Mathema continued the interlocutory order the SC had given earlier. A single bench of Justice Hari Prasad Phunyal had issued the interlocutory order on November 6.

The division bench on Thursday held discussions with both sides of the case and ordered the EC not to punish the 'No Not Again Campaign’ supporters. On October 31, senior advocate Dinesh Tripathi had filed a writ petition against EC's directive to take action against the 'No Not Again Campaign'. With the SC order, EC's decision has been rendered ineffective.
