KATHMANDU, Jan 1: Students from various schools have grilled Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli over the rape-and-murder case of Nirmala Panta.
In an interaction with Prime Minister Oli, held at Nepal Academy in the capital on Tuesday, Rashmi Thapa, a student, asked when the government will be able to arrest the culprit involved in the rape and murder of Nirmala Panta.
In response to the question, Prime Minister blamed the security agencies for their negligence in the course of the investigation into the case of Nirmala. Oli also admitted that the investigation has partly been affected due to pressure from various quarters.

Eight grader Pranish Ghimire inquired Prime Minister Oli about his plans to deal with the unemployment problems Nepali youths are currently facing in the country.
Answering the question, Oli said the government will prioritize agriculture and encourage those Nepali youths, who have returned to Nepal with skills and knowledge from foreign countries, to invest for self-employment.
He further said that the government will introduce programs to equip youths with technical knowledge and skill-orientated training to resolve the unemployment problem.
When asked about degrading situation in quality education of community schools despite massive investment, Oli admitted the fact and expressed his commitment to gradually improve the quality education.
Meanwhile, he also stressed that Nepali people should be well-versed in both Nepali and English languages which will help, to some extent, reduce unemployment issues.
Nepal Scouts had organized the program called, ‘Interaction with Prime Minister’ in which Prime Minister Oli had been accompanied by his wife Radhika Shakya.
Students from as many as 14 different schools had participated in the program.
