Scottish diploma in culinary arts in Nepal

KATHMANDU, July 6: A-La-Carte Hospitality Nepal is going to launch Scottish Diploma in Global Culinary Arts program here from this year.


“This year onwards, we are going to run “Scottish Diploma In Global Culinary Arts” program for the needy graduates those who want to make their professional careers as chefs,” according to a statement issued by the A-La-Carte Hospitality Nepal. “This Diploma program will be run in affiliation with LCCI Nepal.”

This one year Diploma in Global Culinary Arts program includes six months of vocational education at A La Carte Hospitality Nepal and 6 months internship in Nepal and abroad. Major features of the program are reasonable fee structure and a golden opportunity to earn it back from paid internship, Scottish certification, paid Internship in 7 different countries and in 50 Hotels worldwide and job placements within Nepal and beyond, according to A-La-Carte Hospitality Nepal.


A-La-Carte has been providing training programs on various aspects of hospitality industry such as Food Production, Flair Bartending, Housekeeping, Front Office and F&B service for the last eight years. LCCI Nepal, an organization in the field of hospitality industry, operates international, customized and local training programs accredited by Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA), Scotland.



SQA works with schools, colleges, universities and training organizations to develop and deliver our qualifications and assessments. Around 15,000 teaching professionals and industry specialists support SQA operations annually to ensure that SQA qualifications and skills and provide routes to jobs or further study, according to the statement.
