According to a report in Spot Boye, he has filed a legal notice against Aneel asking for a written apology. Furthermore Shirish has asked that Aneel refrain from making any written or oral comments about him (Shirish) or the film Kriti. Another demand states that Aneel has to take down his short film from the internet.

In the legal notice, Shirish’s lawyers state that Kriti hit the web on June 22 2016 while BOB was published on May 12 2016 so it can’t be possible that Shirish was influenced by Aneel’s film. On the contrary, the legal notice states that, since Shirish had shown the script to a few people, it was ‘entirely possible’ that Aneel came across the script and put his film together.
