Shree Airlines plane makes emergency landing at TIA after detecting fire signal

KATHMANDU, March 9: Shree Airlines, which was flying from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa, made an emergency landing at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) after the engine showed signs of fire.

KATHMANDU, March 9: Shree Airlines, which was flying from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa, made an emergency landing at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) after the engine showed signs of fire.


According to airport spokesperson Teknath Sitaula, the plane was diverted to Kathmandu after a 'fire warning' was detected in the engine of Shree Airlines Flight No 821. He said that the plane landed safely at Tribhuvan International Airport a while ago and the flight status of the airport is normal now.

After taking off from Kathmandu, a crew member informed the tower that the engine was on fire, and the aircraft was diverted from the sky above Dhading and made an emergency landing at Tribhuvan International Airport.
