KATHMANDU, Feb 14: The 22nd Special School Level National Sports 2073 will be held in the capital on February 28 to March 1.
The event to feature only athletics will be held at the Dasharath Stadium. Altogether 288 differently abled players will compete for a total of 38 gold medals, according to a statement issued by the Planning and Competition department of the National Sports Council.
Altogether 74 sports officials will be engaged in the game.
Only the athletes of Nepal Dristibihin Kalyan Sangh, Nepal Apangha Sangh having hearing deficiency will be included in the games.
The top three finishers of each event will be given Rs 1,500, Rs 1,000 and Rs 500. The total cash prize of the event is Rs 120,000. The expected cost of the event is Rs 2.5 million.
Meanwhile, a nine-member organizing committee under the coordination of NSC Treasurer Surendra Hamal has been formed to run the game smoothly.
