Students off to Odisha for theater festival

KATHMANDU, Sept 7: A team of Nepali students on Monday left for India to take part in the International Theater Festival.

KATHMANDU, Sept 7: A team of Nepali students on Monday left for India to take part in the International Theater Festival.


The eight-member team representing Nepal is scheduled to perform a play called ‘Kumari Ko Ghar’ in Odisha on September 9. ‘Kumari Ko Ghar’ had been awarded at the Children Theater Festival in Nepal earlier this year. As many as 40 nations are participating at the festival.

Students of Fulbright Secondary School -- Prabhat Niroula, Riya Napit, Samikshya Khanal, Simran Thapa and Kritika Neupane are performing the play which is written and directed by well known theater artist Prabhakar Neupane. Ramesh Dahal is the coordinator and stage manager, while Prem Paudel is the light manager for ‘Kumari Ko Ghar’.


Principal of Fulbright School, Rajesh Dahal, extended his best wishes to the students’ team amid a farewell organized at the school premises on Monday. Dahal said the school family was proud to represent country in an international forum.
