What are your views regarding grading system introduced for evaluating SLC graduates this year?

The grading system in SLC is, indeed, an improvement in secondary education system. It is already in practice internationally. One of the best benefits of this system is that it has reduced failure barrier that had existed earlier. Even, D & E letter grades are now acceptable for their higher studies.

What do you think students should consider while choosing specialization and institution to enroll?

Earlier, those obtaining better marks used to choose science stream to become doctors and engineers. Parents also used to insist them to do so. But, now parents usually do not interfere and let their ward take on the course they prefer. I would advise students to think of their interests, aim, long term career and dreams while choosing specialization stream. If they have not decided the course of their further studies, they can choose it based on their performance in secondary education.

Students should visit some top ranked colleges by themselves, interact with faculty members, observe the facilities and environment and also look at past performance track record of the institution. This will help them decide the right institution.

What differentiates Xavier Academy from others?

Xavier’s Academy has been providing education for around 19 years. It has better performance track record in science and management streams. Based on results, Xavier Academy is one of the best colleges in the country. At Xavier, we believe teaching alone cannot help students in their personal development and in producing efficient human resource. Hence, we have adopted holistic approach to prepare them for being bona fide citizens.

Our faculty members are sincere, dedicated and committed toward helping students perform better. It is the faculties whose painstaking efforts in facilitating students get through their academic and personal problems that have helped us achieve better results.

Are all the students eligible to join Xavier?

We do not take many students. We take limited students ranging from 300 to 400 for science and management. We keep only 35 to 40 students in a classroom. The SLC graduates with 3.2 GPA for science and 2.8 GPA for management are eligible to get enrolled at Xavier’s Academy. Before the students decide to apply at this institution, we provide them counseling. After that those who apply for admission have to undergo through an entrance test (written and interview)

Why to join Xavier Academy?

First, we are totally committed toward excellence in education. Second, we focus on personality development and social service to ensure all-round development of our students. Third, we provide remedial class for the weak students. Most importantly, we impart them education in a family environment right from the orientation. On top of that, we maintain good discipline and provide all those facilities which are available with few top colleges only.
