NAWALPARASI, Aug 11: As many as 19 local residents of Susta in Nawalparasi district are feeling insecure to go to India.

The sense of insecurity has arisen after Indian Police filed a case against Susta locals on charge of their involvement in a murder incident in India.

An Indian national, Prabhu Lonoya, 28, who was living in Susta was mysteriously found murdered in Indian territory – some 50-km from Susta – on last June 28.

The Indian police registered the case to Susta locals for allegedly killing an Indian national.

The Susta locals may face tough time while going to India until the case is not forwarded to the court, said Chairperson of Save Susta Campaign Gopal Gurung, adding the Susta people could articulate their opinion only when the file is forwarded to the court.

The Nawalparasi district administration has already informed the Home Ministry about the recent development in Susta.

In this connection, Chief District Officer Mahadev Pantha said, "The district administration has written to the Home Ministry about the recent incident". RSS
