TANAHUN, August 29: A team of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police and District Police Office, Tanahu, has arrested three people with tiger hides and bones from Pateni in Vyas Municipality-5 on Saturday evening.
Shivaraj Chhetri, information officer and inspector at the District Police Office, Tanahun, informed Republica that Arjun Shrestha, 39, of Vyas Municipality-6, Siruwari, Sanjit Gurung, 40, of Okhaldi, Shuklagand Municipality-1 and Santosh Gurung, 32, of Ratanpur, Shuklagand Municipality-1 have been arrested.
Man held in possession of tiger’s hide and bones
According to Inspector Chhetri, they were found with tiger hide, teeth, bones and skulls during the check. Two Pulsar bikes, a Dio scooter, three mobile sets and Rs 5,385 used by them have also been seized. “We have sent the seized goods and the arretees to the District Forest Office for further investigation,” Chhetri said.
