Three-member panel formed to investigate into Sarlahi incident

KATHMANDU, Oct 31: The Police Headquarters has formed a three-member panel to launch investigation into the killing of Nepali Congress cadre Rambilas Yadav during a violent clash between the cadres of Nepal Communist Party and Nepali Congress at Ramnagar Rural Municipality in Sarlahi on Tuesday.

KATHMANDU, Oct 31: The Police Headquarters has formed a three-member panel to launch investigation into the killing of Nepali Congress cadre Rambilas Yadav during a violent clash between the cadres of Nepal Communist Party and Nepali Congress at Ramnagar Rural Municipality in Sarlahi on Tuesday.


Spokesperson of the Nepal Police Uttam Raj Subedi told Republica Online the probe panel is headed by Senior Superintendent of Police Shekhar Koirala.

Nepali Congress cadre Yadav was killed and seven others were injured when the NCP and Congress cadres exchanged fire during their violent clash on Tuesday morning.  


"The panel is mandated to launch probe and come up with an investigation report at the earliest," Spokesperson Subedi said.


Meanwhile, a separate investigation team of the Central Invesgiation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has already started investigation into the incident.
