Times Club wins the 3x3 Butwal leg

KATHMANDU, Jan 19: Times Club won the Butwal leg of Li-Ning 3x3 Basketball Tournament defeating New Horizon Club in the final match played at Butwal on Saturday.

KATHMANDU, Jan 19: Times Club won the Butwal leg of Li-Ning 3x3 Basketball Tournament defeating New Horizon Club in the final match played at Butwal on Saturday.


In the final of the leg, Times defeated New Horizon with the score of 14-11. Both the teams have qualified for the Dhangadi 3x3 West tournament leg. In Pokhara, Kaski Basketball Association won the Pokhara leg of the tournament. Kaski and the other finalist, Ramghat Club, will also join the above two clubs in Dhangadi.

The Dhangadi leg will be played from January 20 while the final matches will be played on January 22 and 23. The finalist from all the three cities will vie for the title. The winning team will receive Rs 50,000 whereas the runner-ups will get Rs 25,000 each. 12 teams participated in the Pokhara leg while 10 in Butwal. The games were played in the double elimination format.


Nepal Basketball League Private Limited (NBL) had also organized the 3x3 east tournament. NBL has also promised to host 3x3 central tournament as well.
