Toni Hagen’s photographs in exhibition

BHAKTAPUR, March 27: The photos of Kathmandu valley and its surroundings taken during 1950s by renowned Swiss geologist Dr Toni Hagen have been kept in exhibition in Bhaktapur.

BHAKTAPUR, March 27: The photos of Kathmandu valley and its surroundings taken during 1950s by renowned Swiss geologist Dr Toni Hagen have been kept in exhibition in Bhaktapur. 


Toni’s daughter Katryn Hagen inaugurated the exhibition in Ganchhe of Bhaktapur Municipality on Monday evening.

The exhibition includes Toni Hagen’s photographs of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Kirtipur, the archeological heritages, historical buildings, historical ponds, Durbar squares and many more. 


Conservationist Rabindra Puri said that 50 photographs taken by Toni Hagen would be kept in exhibition till April 1. He shared that the exhibition was organized to encourage people for conservation of heritage and protect their beauties from further deteriorating. 


On the occasion, Katryn Hagen expressed her pleasure for the exhibition of her father’s photography adding that the historical heritages in Kathmandu valley are extremely beautiful.(RSS)
