Two held with 25 kg hashish

KATHMANDU, Feb 5: Police have arrested two people in possession of 25 kilograms of hashish at Gumba Bridge of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26.

KATHMANDU, Feb 5: Police have arrested two people in possession of 25 kilograms of hashish at Gumba Bridge of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26 in the capital.


A police team deployed from Metropolitan Police Circle, Balaju nabbed 25-year-old Amar Tamang of Kathmandu Metropolitan-5 and 24-year-old Ranabir Tamang of Dading, currently staying at Tarkeshwor Municipality-5, with the narcotics.

The illegal drugs was found hidden inside the taxi during a security check on Sunday.


Similarly, Police arrested three people including Shyam Hari Khadka, 29, of Kamala Municipality-7 with 225 ampoules of Nitrogen, 128 ampoules of spasmo, 183 ampoules of diazepam, 172 ampoules of iubuprofen and 188 ampoules of phenergan.


The drugs were recovered from an eatery based in Kamalamai Municipality -6. Police said they are investigating the case.
