Two Indian boys held for stealing in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, July 8: Metropolitan Crime division has arrested two Indian boys for forming gang aiming to steal here in Nepal. 


Of the arrested, Police have identified as Karan Podhar, 19, of Gumtithan Motipur-32, Motihari and Suraj Podhar, 17, of Mahadilgarthan Samastipur.

According to Division’s Spokesperson, SP Narendra Upreti, they were arrested with NRs. 70,000, 1135US$, 55 Canadian dollar, two diamond rings, other gold ornaments, three stone necklaces and other abusive drugs.


They were intended for stealing things breaking window panes when nobody is around the house as they move around to collect rubbish items, SP Upreti further added.


Under the special information, a group formed under the investigation caught them red hand as they were on the way from Dallu located Soni Shrestha’s house with 31 lakhs and 33 thousands.


Police is investigating about them adding more time regarding the stealing case.
