DHADING, June 30: Two people killed and thirty others sustained injuries when a bus collided with two microvans in Dhading on early Sunday.
A bus (Lu 1 Kha 9079) en route to Chitwan from Kathmandu collided with two microvans ( Ba 3 Kha 1004) and (Ba 2 Kha 4567) at Krishnabhir in Rorang rural municipality-7. The accident took place at Benighat of Dhading along the Prithvi Highway. Of the injured, six persons are said to be in critical condition.
Both the microvans were en route to Kathmandu from Chitwan.
One killed, two injured in road mishap
According to DSP Rupak Khadka, Shyam Kumar Shrestha, 27, of Mahadevsthan-8 died on the spot while another woman died on the way to the hospital.
Injured eighteen have been referred to Kathmandu for further treatment while seven are undergoing treatment at Gajuri Hospital and two at Charaudi Hospital. Three injured have already been discharged after receiving primary treatment.
According to Police, the accident took place when a microvan tried to overtake the bus and collided head-on with another micro-van.
The driver of the microvan (Ba 3 Kha 1004) is under police custody.
