KATHMANDU, August 25: Achham police have arrested two women who physically assaulted their mother-in-law. A video of beating up Jaisara Neupane, 50, of Panchdewal Vinayak Municipality-6 was released on social media. The police said that the daughters-in-law involved in the beating were arrested.
Inspector Kailash Bisht of the District Police Office, Achham, informed Republica that the two daughters-in-law of Neupane have been arrested for investigation after the video was published on Facebook. "After seeing the video on social media, we started investigating the incident," said Inspector Bist "During the investigation, we arrested the daughters-in-law of Neupane from Vinayak Municipality-6.
15 arrested for beating a wedding guest to death
The police have not revealed the names of the women who beat their mother-in-law. In the video released, two women are seen assaulting Neupane.
