UML demands NA election on announced date

KATHMANDU, Jan 17::The CPN (UML) has drawn the attention of the government and Election Commission towards holding the National Assembly (NA) election on time.

KATHMANDU, Jan 17::The CPN (UML) has drawn the attention of the government and Election Commission towards holding the National Assembly (NA) election on time. 


A meeting of the party's standing committee took place at the party headquarters, Dhumbarahi today demanded the government and EC guarantee the NA election on the scheduled date, according to party secretary Yogesh Bhattarai. The party is doubtful that delay in appointing the heads and provisional capitals of provinces could affect the NA election schedule.

The meeting insisted on the need of announcing chiefs and temporary capitals of provinces instantly. 


Besides, the meeting demanded that the caretaker government should stop creating new employment quota, transferring and promoting employees and spending the State coffer. 


It meeting also instructed the subordinate committees to be more careful while nominating names of candidates for the NA election.
