KATHMANDU, Aug 1: CPN-UML leader Rabindra Ashikari has hinted that his party would field its deputy leader of parliamentary party, Subas Nembang, as the prime ministerial candidate in the election to be held on August 3.

Adhikari further stressed the need of consensus among the major political parties on the agenda rather than on forming a national consensus government.

He also underlined that all three level elections should be undertaken within one-and-a-half year for the implementation of the constitution.

Likewise, CPN-Maoist Centre leader Prabhu Saha said the government of his party chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal would be successful at addressing the demands of agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) and guiding the country to right direction.

He expressed the confidence that the new government would move ahead taking on board both the Federal Alliance and UML.

Nepali Congress leader Dhan Raj Gurung said there is no alternative for all parties to move ahead together for peace process, reconstruction and economic prosperity. He however said that the UML should cooperate with the implementation of the constitution as an opposition. RSS
